Let me add to that South Korea. I spent a month in South Korea last year and found a very vibrant happy country. While those that did not want that Democratic country to survive, just across the boarder to the North, are starving.

Like a punch drunk fighter, the Libs love taking it on the chin. And being wrong each and every time. This is not a new phenomenom, as I am closing on 50 and have yet to see them right.

Maybe instead of hitting them on the chin, we should kick em in the b***s?

Given that people were still against the war knowing full well that Hitler was raping Europe, I don't think there's any surprise that asshats like Teddy could feel this way now. Any number of people made political stands during WW2 that we shouldn't be there, that our boys were dieing in a foriegn land for nothing.

If all goes well, history will look back on Mr. Kennedy the same way it looks back on them. I don't think failing an endeavor means you shouldn't have tried, though, so however this ends up Kennedy has betrayed his nation, imho. Like I said before, there's a reason our military has corps that produce the same propaganda targetting the enemy that Teddy is feeding us.

This has nothing to do with Teddy, but since there's a bunch on the left who like to smear Bush with allegations of Nazi connections in his family's past, I thought I'd point out that Papa Joe was a Hitler sympathizer who lost his ambassadorship to Britain for those sympathies. FWIW (nothing).

In poll after poll, Americans do not agree with Bush on is second term agenda or the war. Seems like both the Democrats and Republicans have lost touch with Americans!

I liked how those who oppose the war were claiming the same thing on all the talk shows Sunday, citing polls taken before the election. It will be interesting to see what those polls look like in a week, but it points out the lack of principles of many on the left - they want to follow the wind wherever it leads them rather than arrive at a set of principles & live by them. They are such poll-driven sycophants, and they seem to have no clue how obvious it is. Of course, you will note that they are not particularly critical of how a poll is done, as long as it supports their bias.

I just re-read that & it sounds a little harsh. Just for clarification, this does not apply to everyone on the left - just some of the talking heads who end up on TV.

Where it comes to who agrees and doesn't agree with this war, I'll take the results of the poll taken in Iraq, the one where people faced death to be a part of, than any poll taken from the safety of an American home.

The left can point fingers all they want, but it's the fingers with ink on them that matters now, the war gave them the opportunity, but they are the ones who made it matter.

yes I been pissed at hanoijohn kerry since 1971 when he became the obvious choice of the Democratic party for President, that was the final straw for me..I switched instead of fought.. Altho I must confess in my heart of hearts I still want a STRONG democratic party, with strong leaders. sane too.

I'd be worried more about the Hitler sypathizer then I would the bootlegging. Hell half the family on my mothers side were runners.

Out here, Franklin county is still the moonshine capital of the USA! So I probably know some ridge runners as that is where my sister lives and is married to a native!

Nope. What is it? When I was first introduced to this stuff I was given a glass of kool aid with shine in it. Beings that it was a *very* hot day, I drank it like I would *any* kool-aid. Everything was fine *until* I went to stand up and go home. WRONG move!!! I went down like I'd been kicked by a Missouri mule! Oddly enough though I suffered no hang over the next day. BTW this happened in Tenn.

Actually you kind of had it. Purple passion is purple kool aid mixed with Moon Shine. All you taste is the Kool aid (they had to give it some taste!). Purple Passion parties are popular among college students here (and yes, I went to a few).

As for the hangover? That is usually caused by the impurities in alcohol, which moon shine (the good stuff again) does not have.
